Research Specialist
Location: India (Remote)
Responsibilities:
- Maintain current, accurate profiles of lawyers and arbitrators (covering their contact details, specialization, experience etc.) in the client’s database by conducting secondary research on online resources or via internal client’s CMS.
- Identify and record updates on arbitrators’ moves, updating details in the client’s portal accordingly.
- Track news related to arbitration awards through given external sources and update client’s internal portal with relevant details.
- Draft and send emails to arbitrators and lawyers, inviting them to create or update their profiles on the client’s portal.
- Track project progress and manage all updates using a well-maintained spreadsheet.
- Locate recognition orders from global courts that validate insolvency proceedings initiated in other jurisdictions.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in secondary research, legal content management, and data management particularly related to the experience of lawyers and arbitrators, along with details about arbitration awards / proceedings.
- Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate data entry and content updates.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for relationship-building with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple administrative tasks and adhere to deadlines set by clients.
- Proven experience in managing, tracking, and updating legal content accurately.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for data management and tracking.
- Familiarity with legal terminology related to arbitration, investigation, compliance, and insolvency.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of comprehension for processing legal information.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse professional backgrounds.
